Hydrangea Courtyard

Hydrangea Courtyard grew out of an exploration of curvilinear geometry and the quatrefoil—a four-lobed form found throughout medieval Iberian decorative arts. Noticing its resemblance to the hydrangea’s four-petalled florets inspired me to bring the geometric and botanical forms together, interpreting the hydrangea in a deliberately stylized rather than realistic form.

Stylized blooms and wandering stems weave through repeating quatrefoils suggestive of weathered stonework, creating the feeling of hydrangeas growing through an old Mediterranean courtyard. The design is available in three colorways: soft blue, dusty rose, and violet.

Wheel of Joy

Wheel of Joy began as an exploration of the number three through hand-drawn sacred geometry. The pattern brings together two forms rooted in Celtic tradition: the Wheel of Joy and Trinity tracery. Their geometry is reimagined as flowing botanical forms, with sweeping branches, berries, and interlocking motifs creating a sense of movement across the design.

Originally developed for Spoonflower’s Merry Maximalist Design Challenge, the pattern began in a rich, festive palette before being reimagined as Morning Meadow in softer, nature-inspired tones. The Morning Meadow colorway is also available at a larger scale for wallpaper.
